In short

Keyword density is the percentage of words in your content that are a specific keyword or phrase. A natural density, usually between 0.5% and 2.5%, shows relevance without “keyword stuffing”. This tool also measures readability with the Flesch reading ease score, where 60+ is plain English.

How to use this tool

  1. 1Paste your contentUse the final text of your page or article.
  2. 2Add a focus keywordSee how often it appears and whether the density is natural.
  3. 3Improve readabilityShorten long sentences and replace jargon to raise your score.
What is a good keyword density?

There is no perfect number. Most well-ranking pages use their main keyword naturally at around 0.5–2.5%, alongside synonyms and related terms.

Is my text stored?

No. Everything runs in your browser; your content is never uploaded.

What is Flesch reading ease?

A readability score from 0 to 100 based on sentence and word length. Higher is easier; 60–70 is plain English suitable for most audiences.

Does keyword density still matter for SEO?

Less than it used to. Search engines and AI understand topics and synonyms, so focus on covering the topic thoroughly. Density is useful mainly to avoid under-using or over-using a term.
